Adding the GPT-5 model for mods

I was wondering if you’re planning to add GPT-5 as the default option for handling user mods in your program.

I’ve been using GPT-5 myself for a while now, and it deals with complex prompts way more efficiently than GPT-4.1.

    Adding it in right now.

Quick update: GPT-5 is a protected model, and there's a bug in the OpenAI dashboard that's preventing me from adding it. I'll try again in a couple of days once they’ve fixed the issue.

How’s it going with adding GPT-5?

Hey Web, I'll give it a try right now. Btw, are you using the Windows app? Is it working for you?

Yeah, I use the Windows app too. I figured it out—the issue was that our Russian Roskomnadzor blocks certain IP addresses. So, I set up a proxy on my computer, and now everything works just fine. Turns out the problem was on my end.

So, how soon are the new models supposed to show up?

I just updated the extension using the developer console and restarted my browser, but I still don’t see any new models.

Will these new models also show up automatically in the government extension and the Windows app?

So right now, I’ve only added it to the extension. Soon, I’ll add it to the Windows app too. Reloading the extension won’t help at the moment because the models are cached, you should see the models appear in about 30 minutes or so.

Great. In the Windows app, yeah, the new models are already out. For the browser extension though, not yet.

Hey, so the extension cache for the models isn’t one hour, it’s actually 7 hours. My bad on that.

So you’ll need to wait ~7 hours until the cache goes stale.

But If you really need GPT5 in the extension, just email me and I'll walk you through how to clear the cache on your end.
