Adding the GPT-5.1 model without reasoning
Just today, OpenAI released access to their new GPT-5.1 model via API. When it comes to price, GPT-5 and GPT-5.1 are pretty much identical.
It'd be great to add this model for transcription, and ideally give the option to use it without reasoning. I know for sure the API lets you turn reasoning on or off for this model, because the current GPT-5—which was recently added—is really awkward to use. The reasoning feature slows transcription down a lot, so it's tough to work with the new model, and I had to switch back to GPT-4.1 because of it.

Quick update!
The 5.1 update has been added to both the extension and the Windows app. Right now, only the main model GPT 5.1 is available, the other models aren't working for some reason. Maybe they're rolling it out to everyone gradually. Anyway, for the extension, you'll see the new model in about 7 hours, and for the Windows app, it's already there.

Nice, I’m actively testing the new GPT-5.1 model right now. Yeah, I can confidently say it handles complex transcription prompts way better than GPT-4.1. And most importantly, there aren’t those long delays in returning text like there were with GPT-5.
