Blabby Mobile App

Feature Request / Bug Report

I've been using Blabby for a while and it's awesome. I first started using it for ChatGPT, but now I just use all of my work apps inside Google Chrome and I get access. What I don't have, however, is the same level of functionality on my mobile. It would be so good to be able to use Blabby on the go. I'm an Android user, I don't know about iPhone, but the Android voice-to-text options are rubbish! Blabby for mobile please!

I’m confident that the app would really stand out on Android since currently, there’s nothing like it out there. The existing versions are rubbish; they all rely on generic voice recognition models. If someone took this tech and developed a voice input with the same vibe as a FUTO keyboard, it would be spot on. The FUTO keyboard is designed to work offline completely, but we’re talking about a fresh angle here that would be super neat. Google won’t roll out voice input with spell check, reserving it just for their Pixel phones. That’s just mocking us. We urgently need an app like this.

I'm on board with this idea. I'd also love to seamlessly use the same software—like Google Chrome—both on my computer and my phone. Right now, I'm using Google's built-in speech-to-text functionality, but it works terribly. Thanks.

    me too!

I would really like to see a iPhone application. I'm guessing it would be an iPhone keyboard that has some sort of speech-to-text using Whisper AI. It would be great if you guys did this.

Want to add a “me too” to Julian’s post.

There are a couple of projects that run speech to text on-device (Futo etc).

But personally (and this is just a personal tech opinion!) trying to do speech-to-text on smartphones doesn't make a whole lot of sense.

Without Whisper, you're left with Google speech-to-text, and at least on non-pixel devices, it's so far behind Whisper that it’s quite painful to use.

If the extension had a companion smartphone app I would be delighted to use it and have a consistent experience across my devices.
