Mode Shortcuts

Could you implement a functionality that allows defining different shortcuts for various modes? This would enable having distinct shortcuts to start and stop depending on the mode. Additionally, instead of manually clicking to change the mode on the widget, a shortcut could be used to activate a particular mode.
