Voice text editing functionality

I really like this feature request system that you are using, so although I have mixed feelings about whether this would help or end up sending you down the direction of trying to do too many different things, I thought I would drop in the idea.

One potential extension for your features would be adding the ability to allow the user to capture text editing instructions using their voice and then rewrite the text.

As an example / UI mockup.

User has some text on their screen:

User highlights:

Blabby has an additional icon with the usual editing icon (I think a pencil usually):

When the user clicks the pencil, Blabby begins recording. But instead of capturing text for transcription, it’s capturing your editing instructions.

So I might record something like:

This email is way too long and cumbersome. Could you try make it a bit shorter and reduce redundancy

The hard part might actually be figuring out a way to grab the text and replace it, but even if it was just added it would still be quite useful.

Basically taking Blabby from being just a tool for capturing text to something that can also allow you to use your voice for editing written text
